Craft Beer Con returning
San Diego Brewers Guild to hold half-day conference covering beer-industry trends
The San Diego Brewers Guild (SDBG) will host Craft Beer Con on Tuesday, August 2 at San Diego State University (SDSU). The annual half-day conference that discusses the local craft beer industry will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at SDSU’s Global Campus on Campanile Drive. Tickets are $35 for Guild members and $40 for the general public.
The theme of this year’s Craft Beer Con is “forward momentum”, which focuses on what’s next for the local craft-beer scene to maintain San Diego County’s status as “the capital of craft”. There will be nine topics discussed overall that fall into one of three categories at the conference: Business and Leadership, Technical Brewing and Craft Beer Culture. A will tradeshow run throughout the entire event, as well.
“While this event can be technical on many levels for the most seasoned beer professionals, we also welcome those who are even just casually interested in our great industry,” said SDBG Executive Director Paige McWey Acers. “Simply, if you love beer and want to learn more, we’d love to see you there.”
