East Village Association's Oktoberfest a day of celebration of craft beer, festive bites, music and German culture in downtown San Diego

Get ready to raise your steins and celebrate Oktoberfest in true San Diego fashion! On Saturday, September 20, from 3 to 8 p.m.Quartyard will transform into a lively seated beer hall experience for the 9th annual East Village Oktoberfest, a one-day celebration packed with craft beer, festive food, live music and cultural flair. Hosted by Quartyard and the East Village Association (EVA), the event channels the spirit of Oktoberfest in Munich while adding a signature San Diego twist in the heart of Downtown.

“Oktoberfest is one of those special events that brings people together through culture, music, and amazing beer,” said EVA District Manager Dominic Li Mandri. “We’re excited to continue this tradition with our friends at Quartyard and offer a unique San Diego take on a global celebration. The EVA is proud to support local events that unite neighbors and celebrate the vibrant, inclusive spirit that makes our community so special.”

The event will honor classic German Oktoberfest traditions including hearty Bavarian cuisine, festive music, and rows of communal tables filling Quartyard to create an authentic beer hall atmosphere. Guests can look forward to a curated selection of lagers, ales, and local brews served straight from the taps at Quartyard, alongside mouthwatering food offerings that span both German and Mexican favorites. Some Oktoberfest favorites include soft pretzels with beer mustard and Bavarian sausages, but Quartyard’s inhouse restaurant, El Comal, will also be serving up delicious tacos and Mexican fair all party long.

The entertainment lineup will feature a mix of traditional Polka tunes and tribute bands on the main stage. Headlining the musical festivities is Zeitgeist Oktoberfest Band guaranteed to bring high energy and good vibes to the celebration. In addition to the music and brews, attendees will enjoy interactive games and festive competitions, hosted by San Diego crowd-favorite SDHosted, creating a fun and dynamic atmosphere throughout the day.
