Almanac Love | Hazy IPA (6.1%): Love is a universal constant, and also a year-round hazy IPA with a rotating hop-bill from Almanac Beer Co. in the Bay Area. Around this time of year, the version released is bedecked in rainbow colors and brewed in support of the Oakland LBGTQ Community Center in that selfsame city’s Lake Merritt district. This year’s Pride edition of Love is dry-hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Sabro. Love is love ‒ happy Pride to all!

Burgeon / Mcilhenney Chilly Bin | Hoppy Pilsner (5.1%): When the brewers at Burgeon Beer Co. concocted this collaborative Pilsner with McIlhenney Brewing out of Alpine last November, little did they realize what a sensation it would prove to be. Cans sold out in six hours and a second batch was hurriedly prepared for release a month hence. To cap things off, the beer took home a pair of prizes at the San Diego Beer News Awards earlier this year, in the Can Design and Collaboration Beer categories! Hopped with a binload of New Zealand varietals, this triumphant third appearance will surely not be the last.

Prairie Spicy Pickle Monster | Sour Ale (5.5%): If you have a favorite flavor combination ‒ whether fruits, vegetables or dessert ‒ there is a good chance that Prairie has made a sour beer out of it. Core offering Rainbow Sherbet smells so precisely like its namesake that it could be mistaken blind for the real McCoy. Similarly, the autumnal release Pumpkin Pie Treat hits all the cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and toasted marshmallow notes one might expect from the baked good. And so it is as well with the bizarrely inventive Spicy Pickle Monster: a salty dill tart ale, which tastes even better with a splash of gin.
