Resident No-No Joe | West Coast Double IPA (8.206%): Oho, there goes No-no Joe! Joe needs no intro – not just any old schmoe. This beer isn’t so-so – it could go toe-to-toe with any other in toto. Will be here and gone like a yo-yo, so don’t move in slo-mo (no FOMO though). For both bohos and bozos (that’s a low blow), enjoy this oh so cold IPA before it goes the way of the dodo.

Moonlight Pale Dry Lager | Helles Lager (4.8%): The triumphant return of Pale Dry Lager to San Diego! Upon Moonlight’s debut in town last April, this beer arrived alongside core offerings Reality Czeck and Death & Taxes – and crucially, was a new recipe altogether, even for drinkers up in Northern California. Pale Dry Lager is a pitch-perfect biscuity Helles, bready and clean, with impressive head retention. The foam cascades downwards into the liquid seconds after the pour off the draft-line (like pulling a shot of espresso) before forming a solid layer atop thereafter, eventually settling in like a comfy easy chair. The lace curtains on the edge of the glass bring the metaphor full circle.

de Garde The Vanille Kriek | Cherry Vanilla Sour (6.5%): In advance of Bottlecraft hosting Zwanze Day – an immense honor! – at the Little Italy location next month, de Garde was generous enough to offer us some off-list bottles for our shelves. The Vanille Kriek is a costal Oregonian spontaneously fermented sour ale aged up for two years in oak, followed by a spell of conditioning on vanilla beans and both Montmorency & Morello cherries. The resulting beer pours a deep crimson purple with mesmerizing pink foam lingering like the whipped cream on an ice-cream sundae.
