Gene Fielden | Bottlecraft North Park Manager
It’s a very special single-brewery spotlight this week featuring Everywhere Beer!
Everywhere / Cellarmaker Stream of Consciousness | West Coast IPA (7.1%): Last week, we profiled West Kept Secret, a collaborative IPA between Cellarmaker Brewing and Everywhere, which was canned off at the former’s Berkeley facility. Stream of Consciousness is in some ways the mirror image of that beer, being another joint effort between these two masters of the West Coast IPA, but emanating from Everywhere’s headquarters in Orange. Generously hopped with Amarillo, Nectaron, Simcoe and Strata, this has been flying off the shelves since its arrival last Thursday.
Everywhere Delicious Moments | Italian Pilsner (5.1%): Tipo Pils Day once again looms on the horizon! The prototypical Italian Pilsner by Birrificio Italiano in Lombardy turns 30 this year. Bottlecraft will be celebrating with a special edition later in the month of March. Until then, those who wish to enjoy a dry-hopped pils in the Italian style will be delighted by Delicious Moments. This beer more than lives up to the title, being crisp and snappy with a gentle dusting of Saphir for citric overtones.
Everywhere Old Habits | Imperial Pastry Stout (11.1%): While we receive regular shipments of outstanding lagers and hoppy ales from Everywhere, it is a very rare occurrence that one of their stouts make it onto the docket. Old Habits is a collaboration with TCHO Chocolate from my hometown of Berkeley, and smells like a Mounds Almond Joy bar. Laden with cacao from Ecuador and vanilla from Mexico, as well as coconut sugar and toasted coconut, this is a toothsome treat of a beer. A sprinkling of flaky sea salt provides a counterbalancing sweet/salty dichotomy. At press time we had just tapped a keg of this at Bottlecraft North Park, so swing on by for a taste and take a can or two home?
