What We're Drinking 2026
Gene Fielden at Bottlecraft North Park

Gene Fielden | Bottlecraft North Park Manager

Cellarmaker Tiny Dankster | Hazy Pale Ale (5.7%): A tribute to the consummate showman Elton John, Tiny Dankster is a highly opaque pale ale loaded with Citra, Mosaic and Nelson hops. Soft and pillowy but low in ABV (alcohol by volume), one could drink two or three of these while listening to the Piano Man. Hold me closer, tiny dankster!

There Does Not Exist KELR | Kellerbier (5%): Inspired by the kellerbiers of Franconia, politically part of Bavaria but culturally quite separate, this is a rare treat from There Does Not Exist in San Luis Obispo. Essentially an unfiltered lager, a kellerbier will have more texture and less bitterness than the snappier Pilsners one also finds in great number in the area. Ask for the blank-slate white can!

Jester King Montmorency vs. Balaton | Barrel-aged Sour Ale (6.1%): A recurring Kriek-style beer from the wizards at Jester King Brewery, Montmorency vs. Balaton utilizes both namesake cherry varietals in the mix. The Montmorency is famously sour and plump, while the Balaton (named after the beautiful freshwater lake in western Hungary) is more robust with sweet-tart jamminess. The pits of the fruits also impart a delightful almond-marzipan tone in the final beer.
