This week’s column is a single-brewery focus: Fast Fashion Brewing!

Fast Fashion / Interstellar Amusements | Hazy IPA (6.8%): Brian Strumke personifies Stillwater Brewing out of Maryland, but has recently resettled in Seattle. In his new Pacific Northwest domicile he has launched Fast Fashion, a beer brand whose theme is that of the modern clothing industry. Amusements is a hazy IPA brewed in conjunction with Interstellar Brewing out of Mexico City! Mosaic, Motueka and New Zealand Cascade make for a frothy and fruit-forward beverage.

Fast Fashion Crop Top | German-style Pilsner (5.2%): The alabaster mannequin on the label of this beer stares impassively into space, or would do so in any event if it had eyes. The black crop top on its torso only goes as low as the midriff, but with enough room on the fabric to declare the Noble hops spotlighted in this beer: “Hallertau Mittelfrüh, Hersbrucker, Tettnang”. Classics from Bavaria one and all, these varietals are well-utilized in this bright Pilsner.

Fast Fashion / Schilling Status Symbol | Amber Lager (5%): The incomparable Schilling Beer Co. out of New Hampshire makes exceptional lagers of all stripes. This collaborative beer is a goldenrod lager hopped with our old friend Hallertau Mittelfrüh, as well as Spalter Select. Floral and chestnut aromas abound on the bouquet, while judicious bitterness starts at the mid-palate and carries through into the finish.
