What We're Drinking header
Gene Fielden

Gene Fielden | Bottlecraft North Park Manager

Fieldwork PULP | Hazy IPA (6.9%): It is always a special occasion around here when a Fieldwork pallet pulls in at Bottlecraft North Park! Among many other SKUs, we were graced by a generous allocation of PULP, the first appearance in cans in San Diego in almost five years. A celebration of the Citra varietal, PULP features intense aromas of Valencia oranges with a mellow & creamy texture.

Wayfinder Phantasies | Hoppy Rice Lager (5.1%): After a brief summertime hiatus – doubtless the demand for lagers in Oregon soars in a linear fashion alongside the outdoor temperature ‒ Wayfinder is back with a pair of new recipes. With a delightfully anachronistic spelling recalling the Greek origins of the word, this rice lager is generously dosed with Comet and Strata from Crosby Hops in the Willamette Valley.

Bottle Logic Fundamental Observation | Barrel-aged Imperial Stout (14%): For stout-lovers in Southern California, this beer scarcely needs introduction! Celebrating ten years of the intersection of vanilla and carefully selected bourbon barrels, FO (as it is commonly called ‒ pronounced “eff oh”) has achieved a form of immortality. The 2024 vintage was aged up in Heaven Hill casks at a rate of two pounds of vanilla beans sourced from Madagascar per barrel. This beer is nothing less than liquid decadence that has helped put the phrase “brownie batter” in tasting notes nomenclature everywhere.
