Moonlight Pallet Forager | West Coast IPA (7.2%): You may have noticed pickup trucks piled high with wooden pallets driving around from time to time. Certain individuals will apparently make the rounds, picking up discarded pallets from grocery stores and warehouses far and wide. Ostensibly these nailed stacks of wood have intrinsic value and can be exchanged in the fungible matter? Those who know more on this topic should write in with their insights. In any event, Moonlight Brewing spotlights these foragers with a new West Coast IPA recipe highlighting Riwaka hops form New Zealand. Firmly bitter and resinous, like a stack of cordwood.

Moonlight Side of Rice | Rice Lager (4.7%): Who among us does not love rice lagers? Long the preserve of legacy Japanese breweries, nowadays many talented craft operations have set their minds and talents to the style. As Moonlight already specializes in stellar lagers, it was only a matter of time before one such beer emerged from their R&D ranks. Light-bodied yet brilliantly effervescent with gentle rice puffs and a modicum of bitterness, this beer is all too refreshing and goes down well in multiples.

Moonlight 9 5/16° P | Tmavé Pivo (4.1%): The lagers of every color spectrum in the Czech lands are renowned worldwide. Apart from pilsners and pale lagers, this encompasses a whole family of beers beyond idle imagination. Those ruddier in hue are created by toasting malts, imparting all manner of bready aromas and flavors. Moonlight 9 5/16° P (the name is a direct references to degrees Plato, the traditional means of measuring potential alcohol in beer in Bohemia and Moravia) pays homage to the long and storied Czech brewing tradition. Na zdravi!
