Pure Project #ISO | Hazy Triple IPA (10.3%): One of the beers that put Pure Project on the map early on was #ISO (= I Seek Out), a massive triple IPA dosed with pitaya. This tropical delicacy (also known as dragonfruit) imparts a marvelous pink hue to the beer, and is replete with all the aromatic delight one would expect from Citra and Mosaic dry-hopping. The label strongly recalls The Matrix, celebrating a quarter-century since that seminal cinematic year of 1999.

Puesto Clara | Mexican-style Lager (4.7%): Doug Hasker is the godfather of lagers in San Diego. For decades, he brewed at Gordon Biersch down in Mission Valley, gifting unsuspecting patrons with shockingly delicious lager beer, long before that was a commonly understood priority. After the restaurant group Puesto took over the space, they asked Doug to stay on and apply his considerable talents to Mexican lagers of all stripes, allowing him to continue to work on the brewing system he knows better than anyone on earth. On Thursday the 30th, we celebrate the debut of Puesto Cervecería in cans with a release party at Bottlecraft North Park from 4-6pm. Drop by and enjoy some clarity with Clara, a pale light-bodied corn lager ideal with tacos. Cheers to Doug and his assistant brewer Jacob Bauch!

Harland Liliko’i Sour | Fruited Berliner-style Weisse (6%): The delectable tartness of passionfruit – known in Hawai’ian as liliko’i – has found a happy home in sour ales the world over. Harland Brewing puts it to good use in this tart summer offering, accentuating the lactic acidity of the base recipe. A sour beer that is both affordable and enjoyable can be difficult to find these days, but this one fits the bill!
