Gene Fielden | Bottlecraft North Park Manager
Cellarmaker Double Dobis | Hazy Double IPA (8.2%): For those who love Citra! Cellarmaker Brewing has many beers containing the term “Dobis”, all of which are saturated with 100% Citra hops. With lupulin material emanating from multiple lots as well as the selfsame varietal in Cryo form, this beer runs the gamut of possible aromatic expressions ‒ pineapple, cara cara orange and a certain resinous quality. Drink now, for it it is not getting any fresher!
Wayfinder Funeral Bock | Bock (7%): An intriguing blend of Munich and roasted malts makes for an uncommonly ebony bock, with hints of mocha peeking out from the edges. It’s toothsome and satiating, like the best kind of black bread. Plus it has a cat with lasers shooting out of its eyes on the label, a surefire path to merit inclusion in this column.
Alvarado Street Mucho Mangonada | Imperial Kettle Sour Ale (8%): This beer does precisely what it says on the tin, in the sense that it is absolutely drenched in mango. The sticky, juicy and vitamin C-laden fruit is a treat in innumerable culinary contexts ‒ why not beer as well? Per recommendation by Alvarado Street Brewery, line your glass rim with as much tajín as you can before enjoying!
