Stone Brewing celebrates the big 2-9
One of the county's – and country's – trailblazing craft-beer companies releases a double IPA ahead of its "all-VIP" invitational beer festival
Stone Brewing celebrates 29 years with a double IPA and an “all-VIP” event that honors the brewery’s craft legacy. Stone 29th Anniversary Double IPA (8.5% alcohol-by-volume) is now available at Stone Brewing locations, and tickets are on sale for the Stone 29th Anniversary Celebration.
Stone’s anniversary beer has long been a behemoth of a beer, something its brewers anticipate all year. This year’s masterpiece showcases Superdelic hops, a new variety from New Zealand that Stone’s brewers have been obsessively following since its early days. Superdelic hops play in harmony with three other NZ buds – Riwaka, Motueka and Nelson Sauvin. This power combo of New Zealand hops make for a dank aroma alongside fresh berries, citrus and tropical fruit. It’s a full-bodied, malty beer with a lingering fruity finish.
In further celebration of Stone’s anniversary, the brewery’s annual invitational beer festival returns! Drawing fans from across the country, the Stone 29th Anniversary Celebration will take place at the company’s flagship brewery in Escondido on Saturday, September 27.
As is tradition, the brewery has curated 30 breweries providing more than 100 choices of unlimited samples. New this year, all are upgraded to “VIP” status – meaning all ticket holders get access to those hard-to-find beers available in unlimited tasters. All that, plus:
