San Diego Festival of Beer returning
Tickets on sale now for 26th edition of city's longest-running charity beer festival
San Diego Professionals Against Cancer (SDPAC) are excited to announce that tickets are now on sale for the 26th annual San Diego Festival of Beer. San Diego’s original craft-beer festival, the San Diego Festival of Beer will return to Broadway Pier on Friday, September 8 from 6 to 10 p.m. The waterfront event brings the community together to support a meaningful cause while enjoying great beer, food and entertainment. Tickets cost $65 in advance and $75 at the door.
Celebrating its return, the festival’s theme this year is Back to the Beer, on the Pier. The festival is encouraging attendees to dress up in their best ’80s outfits; there will be tons of photo opportunities throughout, including a DeLorean, ’80s-themed cardboard cutouts and more. The San Diego Festival of Beer features an impressive selection of craft beers with over 100 different samples from classic IPAs to unique experimental brews. The event also features food vendors and live music performances from local artists. This year’s sponsors include SD Loyal, Kaleo Marketing and Event.com. Not only is this a fun way to discover new beers and breweries, but it also supports a great cause, as all proceeds from the event support cancer research and patient care programs in the San Diego area.
“Everyone knows someone affected by cancer and at SDPAC we are dedicated to making a significant contribution to people with cancer, their families and the fight in the prevention of the disease,” said SDPAC President Carri Chandler. “What better way to raise money for a good cause than gathering with friends, drinking craft beer, listening to music and eating delicious food all on the beautiful waterfront in San Diego? We’re so proud of what we’ve created and are grateful to all of the volunteers, sponsors and vendors involved.”
The San Diego Festival of Beer is SDPAC’s flagship event that has been held annually since 1994. SDPAC is an 100% volunteer-run non-profit organization dedicated to providing education, resources, and support to individuals and families affected by cancer. Since its inception, SDPAC has gifted more than $740,000 to local San Diego organizations like Rady’s Children’s Hospital, Oncology and Kids and Cancer Angels. These funds go directly to support cancer research, patient care and education programs here in San Diego. SDPAC’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer has made a significant impact on the community, and they continue to work tirelessly to support this important cause.
