Celebrating 28 years of hand-forged ales

Miramar's AleSmith Brewing to hold anniversary party, barrel-aged VIP experience

AleSmith Brewing is celebrating its 28th anniversary on Saturday, August 26, at its Miramar brewery location. The festivities will be held from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the official party starting at 2 p.m. Live music will be provided by Andy Citrin, Shane Hall and Aviator Stash, beginning at 5 p.m. Along with several drink specials all day, including two limited-edition anniversary beers. Food trucks will also be on-site serving up delicious bites.

But that’s not all. Prior to the party, AleSmith will also be hosting its third annual Barrel-Aged VIP Experience event. Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to taste some of AleSmith’s rarest and most decadent cellar offerings. These delights will lead up to the official start of the evening’s anniversary party, which will be topped off with live music, DJs and a silent disco.

VIP Experience tickets also come with the latest limited-edition releases from AleSmith, including two 16-ounce cans of Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout with Vietnamese Coffee and Vanilla, and one 32-ounce crowler of Anniversary 1995 IPA.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating our 28th year in San Diego’s beer scene,” said AleSmith CEO, Peter Zien. “We’re proud of the craft-beer culture we’ve helped build over the last 28 years, and we’re honored to be a part of such a dynamic and passionate community. Our anniversary party is a way to give back to our loyal supporters and to celebrate our shared love of craft beer.”

AleSmith has long been a San Diego favorite, known for its award-winning craft beers and iconic designs. The brewery is excited to welcome fans and newcomers alike to its anniversary party. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome (although attendees must be 21-and-up to participate in the drinking festivities). With plenty of entertainment options, delicious food and specialty brews, this is one party not to be missed.
