Burgeon brews IPA with Rebelution
Carlsbad-based brewery teams up with California reggae band for Courage to Grow Organic campaign supporting the CCOF Foundation

On Friday, April 3, Burgeon Beer Co. and Rebelution, A globally recognized reggae band rooted in California’s coastal culture, will release Courage to Grow, a 6.2% alcohol-by-volume double-dry-hopped IPA brewed with certified organic hops. The beer will be available at the company’s taprooms in Carlsbad, Vista, Escondido and downtown San Diego.
The beer release marks the launch of the Courage to Grow Organic campaign, with proceeds from the collaboration benefiting the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) Foundation. The Courage to Grow Organic campaign reflects Burgeon’s, Rebelution’s and CCOF’s shared commitment to sustainability, community and the long-term health of the craft-beer ecosystem, starting with the people and farms behind it.
Rebelution joined Burgeon’s production team in the brewhouse to bring the project to life. Brewed at Burgeon’s Carlsbad production headquarters, Courage to Grow features certified organic hops, including Mosaic, Simcoe, Simcoe Cryo, Citra Cryo and Idaho 7, making for expressive aromatics and a clean, balanced finish.
Bringing together two Southern California staples for a purpose-driven project built to support the farmers behind the beer is in line with Burgeon’s longstanding commitment to not just brewing great beer, but doing so while being good stewards of their communities, partners and the planet.
