Brewery hosting Susan G. Komen launch party

Mission Brewing's East Village tasting room will be the site of a public kick-off event for the MORE THAN PINK Walk on September 27

Susan G. Komen, the world’s leading breast cancer organization, is teaming up with Mission Brewing in East Village to celebrate the upcoming San Diego MORE THAN PINK Walk with a special event on Friday, September 27 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. This public launch party is an opportunity to meet fellow walk participants, sponsors, community partners and volunteers, and hear from survivors, including this year’s Honorary Survivor, Claudia Bitterlin. Mission will show its support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by debuting its new pink brew, Do It for the Brewbies, at the event, with proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen.

“We are thrilled to connect with the San Diego community as we celebrate the launch of this year’s MORE THAN PINK Walk,” said Susan G. Komen San Diego Executive Director Leia Brune. “We are so grateful for the businesses that support us, and we’re beyond excited to have Mission Brewery craft a beer that supports our cause. The MORE THAN PINK Walk is a pivotal moment to raise vital funds that will make equitable care available to all. We hope you can join us for a night of celebration as we get ready for a walk that will truly make a difference.”

Take a stand against breast cancer and enjoy Mission’s specialty beer at the launch party. Your participation will help Susan G. Komen San Diego raise vital funds, provide crucial support services and advance important research. Together, we can work towards a future without breast cancer.

The San Diego MORE THAN PINK Walk will be held on Sunday, November 3 at Balboa Park beginning at 6:30 a.m. For more information on the launch party and how to get involved with the MORE THAN PINK Walk, visit Susan G. Komen’s website.
