Bottlecraft launching TAP-py hours

Bottlecraft, the local chain of beer shops and tasting rooms with hard-to-find beers from around the world, has partnered with The Animal Pad to host weekly “TAP-py Hour” fundraisers during the summer at its Little Italy location, beginning June 13. Every Tuesday from 4-7 p.m., 10% of all draft beer sales will be donated to the local dog-rescue organization. Adoptable pups from The Animal Pad will be on hand for application for adoption at the first fundraiser.

“There’s nothing better than drinking a cold beer on the patio with your best friend by your side,” said Bottlecraft CEO Chris Sarette, who adopted his dog, Macy, from The Animal Pad. “With that in mind, we wanted to find a way to give back to the community and to a deserving organization that provides so much happiness to people and pets. There is no better acronym than for The Animal Pad as it relates to beer, so we figured this TAP-py Hour fundraising effort is a match made in heaven.”

Bottlecraft Little Italy is dog-friendly, and guests are invited to bring their pups not just to the TAP-py Hours, but all days of the week. Bottlecraft owner Brian Jensen also adopted his dog, Saison, from The Animal Pad.

“We are grateful to the Bottlecraft team for tapping into their sales to help support us,” said The Animal Pad Co-Director of Events Julie Brou. “Little Italy is such a vibrant neighborhood with so many great people and pups. We hope they all stop by to grab a beer and chip in to our worthwhile cause.”

The Animal Pad is an all-breed, non-profit dog rescue organization that focuses on saving dogs from high kill shelters and the streets of Mexico.

Bottlecraft has four San Diego County locations overall, including Liberty Station, North Park, and Oceanside. Its Little Italy is located at 2252 India Street.
