A Most Necessary IPA’s en route
North Park brewpub, The Original 40 Brewing, adds to its stable of currently on-tap West Coast IPAs with one utilizing most-necessary hops
The Original 40 Brewing will release Most Necessary West Coast IPA on Thursday, December 4 at its North Park brewpub.
Most Necessary is 7.1% alcohol-by-volume with a classic hop profile of Mosaic and Citra. The beer has low-to-medium bitterness, a medium body, and tasting notes of grapefruit, citrus and blueberry. It will be available on draft and in four-packs of 16-ounce cans.
“While not always necessary for a good West Coast IPA, you could argue Mosaic and Citra are most necessary,” said Head Brewer Kyle Fjalstad. “Avoid any wrenches in your holiday plans and come enjoy a fresh pint of our latest creation. You won’t be disappointed, especially pairing it with our elevated brewpub fare of burgers, flatbreads and tacos.”
The Original 40’s IPA menu also features Hold My Stuff double dry-hopped West Coast IPA, a collaboration with Embolden Beer Co., as well as Drifting Dial West Coast IPA, Cruel Reminder hazy IPA and more.
The brewpub’s annual Red Envelope Season promotion is going on now through December 31. All guests receive a red envelope with each paying visit, and the envelope must remain sealed and brought back in January for a staff member to open to reveal the prize. All envelopes contain a prize, and they must be claimed within the month of January. The grand prize is a $250 gift card to The Original 40, and other prizes include free burgers, free flatbreads, discounts, and gift cards.
