GOAL. Legend of Summer Twos | Hazy Double IPA (8.5%): San Diego welcomes Derek Gallanosa back to town! Initially making a name for himself as the head brewer at Abnormal Beer Co. in Rancho Bernardo before departing to open Moksa Brewing in Rocklin (north of Sacramento), Gallanosa has a new venture in the tripartite Brewery Igniter space on El Cajon Boulevard. Legend of Summer Twos is the first can release in distribution. A hazy double IPA with Nectaron and Simcoe Cryo hops, the beer gives off intense peach and resinous aromas, following through with a dense mouthfeel befitting the style. Join us in welcoming GOAL. to the neighborhood with a tap takeover at Bottlecraft North Park from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13.

pFriem Oktoberfest | Festbier (6.1%): Paler in color than the classic Märzen, Wies’n-style festbiers ease up on the Munich malt. This new release from pFriem Family Brewers in Hood River, Oregon definitively plants a flag on the side of the dividing line. With a distinct white-grape aroma, this beer is reminiscent of a scaled-down Maibock. Prost!

Great Notion Seedless | Watermelon Gose (6%): A little salt can really brighten up the sweet and juicy taste of fruits in the melon family. Skeptical? Add a pinch to your next watermelon agua fresca and ponder. Great Notion has taken this realization and run with it with this tart wheat ale. Watermelon, dragon fruit and an undercurrent of salinity makes for an altogether refreshing summer treat.
