Dedicated to the Craft: Homebrew Summer
A pro and homebrewer discuss year two of bringing local fermentationists together
“Fostering the relationship between homebrewers and pro brewers.” That’s what Homebrew Summer is all about according to San Diego Beer News founder Brandon Hernández. Established in 2021 and brought back for a second year in an expanded form, this program is an opportunity for commercial and recreational brewers to play off each others’ strengths. In this episode of Dedicated to the Craft, Deft Brewing owner and Brewmaster Mo Nuspl and award-winning homebrewer Jared Rowley, both of whom are part of Homebrew Summer for the second year in a row, assemble at Home Brew Mart to chat about the program: what it is, why it’s cool and what it’s done to forge a better relationship in our brewing community. For an industry founded on collaboration, this is next level. Listen in and be sure to check out all the participants to find out what’s brewing this summer.
