It’s a new week and a new week’s worth of segments, this time with San Diego’s newest brewer: Good Pressure Brewing. Listen along as ALT 94.9 FM‘s Jeremy Pritchard gets the deets on a business that’s taken the Allied Gardens neighborhood by storm. Or don’t. No pressure. (See what we did there?) Take it away, Jeremy…
Monday | Pilsner: Started by San Diego Brewers Guild Executive Director Erik Fowler and his wife Shannon, Good Pressure Brewing is cranking out great vibes and great beers to serve East County and their local ‘hood. This week we’ll get into this new spot that just opened their doors at the start of December, starting with a traditional German Pilsner.
Tuesday | Limeade Seltzer: Two things Erik likes to focus on are drinkability and having options for all. Good Pressure’s Limeade Hard Seltzer demonstrates both! An easy drinking 5% AVB (alcohol-by-volume) seltzer with real lime makes this a very “zippy” beverage and a great selection for any non-beer drinker that finds their way into the taproom.
Wednesday | Blonde: Part of starting a brewery involves knowing what you want to be known for. For Erik it’s a beer he’s been constantly building in his head for the past 15 years. Say “hello” to Good Pressure Blonde, a beer that grabs the best parts of multiple categories to make one ridiculously drinkable all-day kind of beer.
Thursday | IPA: Today, we finally get to Good Pressure’s IPA! Although visions of yesterday’s blonde ale still dance on my taste buds, this IPA stands up! If a San Diego IPA history lesson could be poured in a glass, this would be it, thanks to a color similar to the legendary Green Flash West Coast IPA blended with the body and bitterness profile that is more in-line with what IPA drinkers now enjoy.
Friday | Tropical Seltzer: It was a tropical blast in the studio from the moment Erik cracked the top on his growler of this beauty. Huge aromas of guava and orange blast your senses and all that fruitiness rolls right onto the taste buds!
Good Pressure Brewing is located at 7559 Mission Gorge Road in Allied Gardens
