With so many outstanding IPAs and sun-friendly lagers available throughout San Diego County, it can be easy to fixate on those gems, but in this month’s FOX 5 Morning News beer segment, San Diego Beer News Executive Editor Brandon Hernández is celebrating a lesser-seen but incredibly tasty style of beer: saison. French for “season” and alternatively known as farmhouse ales, this Belgian style has the loosest parameters of any in the world, making for broad family of beers ranging from dry and peppery to fruity, sour and delightfully funky.
