Resident Brewing to serve patrons from taps inside its downtown San Diego production facility
After seven years of brewing in Downtown San Diego, Resident Brewing will be unlocking the doors of its brewhouse and serving its beers to the public directly from that production space beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 8.
Resident’s existing tasting room in the back of downtown’s The Local Eatery and Drinking Hole will remain in operation. The new Brewery Taproom provides a different experience that stems from Resident Head Brewer Bill Lindsay‘s desire for connection and education.
“People walking by our brewery often ask us questions about what’s going on inside,” says Lindsay. “The Brewery Taproom gives us a chance to get to know them, explain our process and answer any questions they may have.”
Visitors to the Resident Brewery Taproom can expect to interact with members of the brewery staff, fellow devotees and neighborhood friends while enjoying beers in a casual environment with indoor and outdoor seating.
Special brewery-exclusive bottles and cans will be available for onsite consumption and to-go along with Resident’s year-round beers.
The Resident Brewery Taproom’s grand opening will take place Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. Beginning the following week, the Brewery Taproom will be open Thursday through Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m., with occasional educational events and pop-up openings which will be announced via Resident’s Instagram, Facebook and email channels.
