There was a time when beer festivals took place essentially (and at times literally) every weekend in San Diego. Post-COVID, those types of events don’t happen as frequently, but even when they did, the North Park Festival of Beers was an upper-echelon event, thanks to fantastic beers from local brewing operations as well as epic live music from noteworthy acts. This fest returns today, from noon to 4 p.m. and will feature unlimited tastings of beers from more than 50 breweries. Tune in as the Beer for Breakfast crew pre-games with two of special beers that’ll be on tap, a triple IPA called Tres Animales from Chula Vista’s 3 Punk Ales Brewing and a double bourbon barrel-aged arctic ale from Vista-based Pure Project Brewing. These beers are big and bold, and so is the festival. See you there!
