It’s the freshest season of the year: wet-hop season! Brewmaster Paul Segura brought in a couple of wet-hop beers from Nickel Beer Co. That Julian-based brewery is headed by the county’s number-one wet-hop enthusiast, Tom Nickel. Listen in as they try two of his early-season wet-hope beers, an IPA brewed with fresh-picked Cascade and Chinook hops from Chico, California, called Overnight to Julian, and a Strata wet-hopped specialty called My Way Wet Hop IPA. Allow this duo of whole-cone wonders to get you in the mood for the Wet Hop Fest taking place at Nickel’s other business, O’Brien’s Pub, taking place from October 13 to 15. It will feature countless wet-hop beers from Nickel Beer Co. and other well-known breweries in and around San Diego County.
