This week’s featured brewery is more than a production facility, it’s a family-friendly brewpub that’s home to games galore and plenty of live music and entertainment. Even so, the crew buckled down and focused on the brewskies at San Marcos’ My Yard Live Beer Co., namely a pair that have won some serious awards. First up is Basic Batch, a honey blonde ale that took bronze at this year’s World Beer Cup, followed by Flight of the Kiwis, a New Zealand-hopped IPA with a Great American Beer Festival silver medal to its name. Pro Tip: They go great with a game of air hockey, shuffleboard or Ms. Pac-Man.
