With a name like Modern Times Beer, one might expect a business donning blinders as it exclusively zooms full speed ahead in search of the next cool thing, never looking in the rearview, but they know better. Last year during San Diego Beer Week, the company teamed with local operation, Vinyl Record Rarities, to present a pop-up record stores at its Point Loma brewery. It was such a success that, not only has that once-temporary amenity become permanent, Modern Times has installed a second record store at its North Park tasting room. This seemed the perfect excuse to drink beer on the radio, so the Beer for Breakfast crew did just that, tasting Modern Times’ new hazy ale, Radiant Glow, and a honey-laced Beekeeper’s Edition of barrel-aged imperial stout, Mega Devil’s Teeth. Rock on!
