As of yesterday, baseball season’s in full swing, but our San Diego Gulls are already in mid-season form. Fans of those skilled arctic combatants who’ve visited their home-ice digs at Pechanga Arena may have encountered a special beer brewed just for the team. It’s called Blue Line Lager and its the product of an eight-year-old local brand called Mason Ale Works. Formerly brewing of-the-moment styles from a brewpub in South Oceanside, they have since gone on to partner with Miramar’s AleSmith Brewing to brew enough beer to meet current demand. That includes Blue Line, which the BFB crew sample along with a hazy double IPA called Checkerboard Classic. Lace up your skates, don your Gulls jersey and tune in for a winner of a segment!
