Come this time of year, numerous municipalities throughout the county party like its 1810…in Germany. We’re talking Oktoberfest, and every community does its best to get as close to classic Deutschland as they can. Of course, the first step on that front is getting plenty of authentic German beer. La Mesa’s Oktoberfest, which will take place from Friday October 3 to Sunday, October 5, has that covered, and so does BFB, which samples a pair of beers that’ll be on tap at that event: a Märzen from Hacker-Pschorr and a fest bier from Paulaner, both of which have been brewing in Munich since the 15th and 17th centuries, respectively. Prost!
