This week, Brewmaster Paul Segura gets into some beers he’s fairly familiar with, considering he created them and all. That’s right, this episode is all about the trailblazing company he’s been a part of for the past quarter century, Karl Strauss Brewing. San Diego’s longest-operating post-Prohibition brewery just hit the big three-six. To celebrate that, they released a “face-melting” 13% barrel-aged pastry stout. Listen in as the Beer for Breakfast crew provides their impressions on that as well as the origin story of a brew that’s special to both Team Karl and everyone at 91X, Tower X IPA. Cheers to local, independent beer…and local, independent radio!
Karl Strauss Brewing’s countywide locations are located at 1157 Columbia Street in Downtown San Diego, 9675 Scranton Road in Sorrento Mesa, 10448 Reserve Drive in Rancho Bernardo and 5801 Armada Drive in Carlsbad
