One of the most uplifting developments of the year for local beer fans is the revival of much beloved Morena institution Home Brew Mart. Under new ownership, the recreational retail establishment that birthed Ballast Point Brewing and sold local brewers who have gone on to fame and medalist status their first homebrew kits is getting back to its storied roots. This week, the crew tastes a pair of early beers brewed by Home Brew Mart’s staffers, including a fall-inspired saison named Chanson d’Automne (“Autumn Song” in French), and an IPA called Linda Vista to Morena.
