The Navy is a big part of San Diego’s history and culture, so it’s with great pride that the 91X crew discussed a one-year-old U.S. veteran-owned business, El Cid Brewing. Installed in the former home of iconic North Park retail outlet, The Homebrewer, by owners Eric Bridges and Terry Kellar, the nano-sized operation celebrates the history of U.S. Navy chief petty officers through its tasting room decor and its beers. The BFB squad sampled two of the latter, 3 Day Millionaire “Ultimate Hazy AF IPA” and a strawberry-infused wheat ale called La Jefa.
