San Marcos is home to a family-run beer outfit that’s been slaking thirsts for over a decade. Dubbed Dos Desperados Brewery, the company came into its own under a young brewer who has since gone on to open his own successful North County operation, Weir Beer Co. That youthful fermentationist’s still close with the “desperados” who gave him his big shot, as evidenced by one of the beers the BFB crew samples on this segment, Hell’s Bells, a Belgian-style dubbel brewed with Weir and Del Mar’s Viewpoint Brewing. Listen in for notes on that three-way collaboration, plus an adjunct Czech-style Pilsner called No More Mr. Rice Guy.
