A week when the Padres record a much-needed sweep (thanks, Angels) seemed an appropriate time to revisit a beer inspired by Friars legend Tony Gwynn. That’s right….394 Pale Ale from none other than Miramar’s AleSmith Brewing. When “Mr. Padre” wanted to make a beer, he worked with AleSmith owner and brewmaster Peter Zien to fashion what he called “a light beer with a kick”, with the kick referring to hop character. From there, the crew checks out a new collaboration with Alzheimer’s San Diego, a Galaxy and HBC 630-hopped specialty called #ALZStrong Ride Out Hoppy Pilsner. Both of the above beers are proof that good things happen when good people get together to brew!
